Euro 2 restricted in 19 cities in Germany
From January 2012 vehicles with Euro norm 2 will no longer be allowed into the main cities of Southern Germany, with only Euro 4 and 5 vehicles allowed in Stuttgart, Frankfurt am Main and Osnabrück.
All vehicles must carry a personalised environmental badge in order to be allowed into the green zones, otherwise a penalty of 40,00 € and a penalty point applied to the driver's license, even if the vehicle would be allowed to pass through the zone based on its Euro norm.
